Soul Writing’s blog http://tinyurl.com/keqkm8e this morning asked “What are the two best cures for anything? Before reading more, I looked at my canine companion, Pepper, and said: Laughter and a walk.

And nothing excites me more than when whatever path I've chosen to walk turns up a surprise, like this great blue heron that I cam upon while following the above path at Brazos Bend State Park in Texas. -- Photo by Pat Bean And nothing excites me more than when whatever path I’ve chosen to walk turns up a surprise, like this great blue heron that I cam upon while following the above path at Brazos Bend State Park in Texas. — Photo by Pat Bean

Hakan Erdogan

Anyone following developments in Turkey these days would notice that its Democracy is going through a tough test. The form and the way Democracy is implemented profoundly affect the quality of human lives. If any reader fails to recognize this directly, it is perhaps because he or she is living under a relatively stable Democracy where not much changes from year to year. A lot is being discussed in the media about specific daily developments in Turkey. In this post, I would look from a wider angle and give some historical perspective on Democracy.

Because the majority of people will have similar views on those topics and not be isolated thinking everyone else is crazy. ..Or maybe I’m the crazy one for thinking people are still morally sound (for the most part)

He then reaches back to the slave days and claims that people believed the Christian God was cool with slavery, last I checked, people are not perfect. I’m sure some did think that but there is a small problem, I’m not form the 1800s so I honestly can’t tell you what exactly went through their minds. Back then…
